A rare original Barrel sided tourer by Barker. So often copied, yet so rare to find as an original!!!

This car is in beautiful patinated condition with huge originality. The paint is a very very dark green, almost appearing black in some lights, & is in generally good order. The bright work & nickel is all excellent & polishes up beautifully. The spare tyre is rear mounted as prescribed by Sir Henry himself.

Under the bonnet the car is untouched & lovely. The engine starts easily & runs in silence. The gear changes are smooth & the suspension supple. It is an absolute pleasure to drive. The car has a hood & full weather equipment with the side screens fitting in a cupboard in the rear bulkhead. If the new owner plans on using the roof he would do well to replace it as it has seen better days.

The interior is beige leather in very usable condition, but there is a 2" x 2" hole in one of the rear seat back panels. Carpets are black. A tool box is fitted to the running board & has a decent quantity of tools in it whilst not being complete. An auster screen comes with the car but is not currently fitted. The dash woodwork is in good order & all instruments present, correct & working.

The car spent many years in Ireland before being repatriated to these shores. It has clearly been loved & feels to be in excellent mechanical condition. Untouched cars like this in good order are becoming increasingly hard to find. The car may be viewed by prior appointment just north of Carlisle.
