A stunning imposing touring car by noted coach builders Thrupp & Maberly.
This car has its original body & is in simply stunning condition.
The paintwork was recently redone to show quality in a beautiful mint green over dark forest green; a colour scheme in which it looks gorgeous.
At the same time all interior leather work & carpets were replaced. The woodwork was also stripped back & re-varnished. Pleasingly all the floor boards & assorted wood frames bear the original T & M production stamps upon them attesting to the cars authenticity.
The rear passengers are protected by a rear screen mounted to a spring loaded wooden cover. The screen folds flat when not in use. A green mohair hood bag completes the look. The Black mohair hood itself is also brand new.
Best of all, the engine is currently apart & undergoing a fastidious rebuild. New blocks are being fitted along with new pistons & the crank is being line bored. All other necessary machining is being attended to & the engine made ready for the 2010 season.
The car has 5 recent tyres & the wire wheels are covered by polished aluminium wheel discs. Th under bonnet area is being tidied up & detailed whilst the engine is out of the car. To the rear is a useful motoring trunk painted in dark green to match the car's wings. A Klaxon horn with a suitably sonorous braying note is located under the bonnet.
Please excuse the pictures of my wife contained in the gallery. She tells me the new owner will need to pry the key from her dead hand!!
A rare opportunity to acquire a superb car of a kind that rarely comes to market & ready to make a statement in the forthcoming season.
