A wonderfully untouched car in utterly original condition.
This car has had but 4 owners from new, the last being the custodian for over 20 years. Prior to him it was owned for 30 years & during both ownerships little used and for special events only.
It is rare to find cars in such untouched condition. The only real changes to this car since delivery have been new leather to the driver's seat & fitment of a non standard coil. The original Bakelite mushroom type comes with the car.
The interior is finished in west of England cloth to the rear, original and in good order. All the period fittings are present & correct including exquisite ivory door pulls. A front operated window blind covers the pleasingly shaped oval rear window. Twin occasional seats fold out from the bulkhead. Unusually these seats are mounted on a swivelling base, allowing the occupants to turn & face the rear seat passengers. A sliding type division is fitted.
Coachwork is by noted Yorkshire coach builders Ripon Brothers. Indeed the car has been Yorkshire owned ever since build. The body tapers in quite sharply at the bottom of the front doors making for pleasant lines. The Black paint is aged, but in good order, exhibiting no cracking or peeling. A fine "Cafe au lait" pin stipe accentuates the body mouldings. A Brooks motoring trunk with three attendant suitcases is fitted to the rear.
Mechanically the car is excellent. The engine is silent & starts readily "off the switch" when warm attesting to excellent compression. The one shot system is working well, keeping all underside lubrication points well oiled. The car drives in a tight taut manner suggesting a low original mileage from new.
