1933 Rolls Royce Thrupp & Maberly Sports Saloon

Chassis number 160MS
Registration number H3279BBC (Spanish.) UK V5 also available.

A stunning Phantom II with rakish sports saloon coachwork by noted builders Thrupp & Maberly. At first glance one might mistake this for a continental model as it has rakish lines & rear mounted spare wheel. A slight overhang to the front of the roof exacerbates the look.

The car is finished in a rich Burgundy over black with the paintwork being in really lovely condition. To the interior is Burgundy leather to the front, again in perfect unmarked order. The rear is yellow silk fabric with details in an art deco style. The cloth extends to the roof which has a beautiful art deco lamp to the centre with the cloth being fitted in a radial pattern. A speaking tube is fitted to the rear as are rope door pulls & vanity mirrors.

The woodwork is highly figured root stock burr walnut. It has recently been removed & refinished to as new condition with a perfect mirror polish.

The engine bay is tidy with a strong engine that fires up instantly & pulls strongly. The car runs equally well on either magneto or coil.

The car has a capacious built in motoring trunk to the rear that hinges open from one side. Behind it is mounted the spare that sits within a spare wheel carrier. Front & rear bumpers complete the ensemble.

The car is in a small collection of Phantoms located in Malaga, Spain & may be viewed there by appointment. It has been looked after with no expense spared & is in superb condition with much money spent to keep it in tip top order.
