A time warp example of a low mileage ultra desirable derby Bentley.

This car was purchased by the last owner almost 40 years ago whilst on a trip to London. Since then it has covered a scant 5000 miles, residing for the rest of the time in a Californian garage. We are thus able to verify its 85,251 odometer reading as correct. The car drives in an absolutely tight taut manner with an incredibly crisp engine willing to pull from any speed in any gear.

Coach work is by noted London builders Hooper. It is in the configuration of a particularly rakish 4 seat drop head coupé made even more so by the tiny pill box slit style front windscreen.. The hood & its lining are a little tired & these are to be replaced shortly.

Paintwork is cream which has gone a little flat over the years but is in overall very good order. A light cut & polish would work wonders but we have not done this so far in order to keep the car in as original condition as it came in. One or two very very minor battle scars are evident which could be easily attended to.

The interior leather is a lovely rich brown colour & was replaced many years ago as an exact copy of what had been there originally. The dash board is a wooden unit, covered in a light film of tin that was then chromium plated. It is a wonderful period piece full of patination & should in our opinion be left absolutely as is.

The engine bay is superb & tidy in utterly original untouched condition. All large tools are present in their appointed places including jack, starter handle & hammer. I have to again stress how fine the engine is & how strongly it pulls.

Cars such as this rarely emerge on the market & it is always a pleasure to handle such a vehicle. It is located in Sheffield & may be viewed there by appointment.
