1953 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith Hooper Limousine
Chassis number WVH51
Registration number 554LOR. (available by separate treaty.)
A beautiful & striking car, currently being looked after by its 3rd owner who has had it for many many years.
The paintwork is a bright royal blue giving the car tremendous presence. It is in good tidy condition & polishes up beautifully. Being a '53 model the car still has the more desirable separate P100 headlamps, complimented by a large spot lamp. The body has some lovely design touches, including a slight concave curve to the bottom of the front doors prior to flaring out for the front wings. The rear doors have an oval recess for the step plate with a matching oval door shut.
The interior is a wonderful place to be. It is festooned with walnut appointments, all in lovely shape, including the twin picnic tables. The leather is cream piped in blue with bright blue carpets making for a special place to be.
Recorded mileage is just 82,000 from new. Thus the engine is at the prime of its life, in superb running condition. It pulls strongly & silently, exhibiting good oil pressure.
We suspect the car was used originally for embassy work. It has a wing mounted pennant staff to the passenger's side. This is a lovely Wraith in well above average condition with a superb body by Hooper, "The king of coach builders."
