1956 Silver Wraith by James Young with Division.

Chassis No ELW 68
Registration No 47 LOR (does not come with car, but can be purchased by separate treaty).

A beautiful James Young car that was originally owned by Lord Hambro (of Hambro's Bank). When the he died the car was exported to the USA where it spent most of its life in a garage. The car was then re-exported back to the UK where the present owner has owned the car since August 1989.

The car is finished in Ivory over Black and is in very good order to a high standard.

The interior is spectacular. The walnut is beautifully figured & in impeccable condition. The rear compartment bulkhead is awash with it and is a particularly fine example of the cabinet maker's art. The upholstery is in cream leather and is also in excellent condition, as are the door cards. Occasional picnic tables fold from the rear bulkhead. Light grey carpets complete the look as does the fresh cream headlining.

Mechanically she has been well maintained by the present owner, as can be attested by the number of old MOT's and service receipts. She is used occasionally, but regularly, and covers a scant thousand miles per year.

She is a stunning car, a fine example of a James Young & Co coach built car. A small Phantom really, but more practical!
