1966 Bentley S3 SCT100 by James Young.
Chassis number BCL16
Engine Number BL8C
Registration number YJY35
This is the last Cloud/S3 chassis manufactured by Rolls Royce, made whilst Silver Shadow production was in full swing. It was originally to have been a Rolls Royce, but the designation & chassis number was changed at the last moment due to cancellation of the original order. (See attached letter from Rolls Royce in picture gallery.)
Just three of these LWB with division cars were produced, of which one was left hand drive & the others right hand drive. This is thus an incredibly rare car, with the other two examples residing in America & New Zealand respectively.
Features include power steering, electric windows, electric division, air conditioning, etc etc. She is finished in Chalice Silver & Midnight Black. (Actually a very very dark blue.) The interior is a sumptuous ox blood red leather to the front & to the rear. Spectacular burr walnut is present in great swathes across the rear bulkhead including dual occasional tables. Similar wood adorns the front dash & door trims.
The car looks beautiful & drives superbly. The engine bay is clean & detailed with a new air conditioning compressor recently fitted.
This was the last Cloud/S3 to be bodied by James Young & is eminently collectible due to its incredible rarity.
